K.A. Bland is the writer and creator of the comic book series Dre Saturn: Child of The Orb. His writing has earned him various accolades.
Born in New Jersey and raised in New York, Kareem noticed the lack of diverse representation in comics and other visual media. So he decided to pursue writing and visual media to tell stories that feature characters that look and talk like him and reflect the culture of his neighborhood. He is a fan of sci-fi/fantasy and loves engaging in fandom conversations. Kareem received his bachelor of arts from Brooklyn College CUNY with an emphasis in scriptwriting. He resides in New Jersey with his wife and newborn son, writing and dreaming up his next comic-book adventure with an urban point-of-view.
